ccny-the-beautiful.jpgTHE CITY COLLEGE, located in upper Manhattan, is the oldest college of The City University system. Enrolling over 13,000 students, The City College is home to world-renowned research laboratories and institutes that offer Teacher Academy students the opportunity to participate in research projects under the supervision of outstanding faculty. Its alumni include nine Nobel Prize winners. The City College is one of the Macaulay Honors College campuses.            Teacher Academy Students are mentored in mathematics and science by City College faculty who are not only experts in their fields, but also authorities on how mathematics and science should be taught. Thee of the faculty working within The Teacher Academy have shared appointments in education and science: Professor Salame on Chemistry, Professor Raia in Earth and Atmospheric Science, and Professor Steinberg in Physics.
